1) What's up with the Clinical Trials segment? I've seen some people claiming that he actually killed these people in the "accident" that messed his eye up in the first place. That he's an "unreliable narrator"? Can someone clarify? I didn't pick up on that at all.

2) so the VHS tapes themselves have supernatural powers? Killing people and turning them into zombies? But didn't that one guy ATTEMPT to kill himself? Blew his chin off and walked away.

Idk the movie was better than I thought it would be but you can tell the writing is amateur. Netflix for ya

I don't think that was the intention at all, I think people put more thought into the segment than the writer.

I thought this was a horribly written cheap version of The Eye.

Among some stupid things is this: It's stated that the ghosts will attack/screw around with the protagonist because he started noticing them, but the only reason he started noticing something was wrong because the ghosts started throwing his stuff...before he even started noticing them, there's no reason for them to do that, they didn't do it before.

I think he wanted to make his own tape and he thought that since he saw some of them by killing himself he'll become one of the zombies?

I don't know, I don't think they put much thought into the wraparound segment, all of the wraparound segments for this series feel like an afterthought, in fact, the movies would be a little better if they removed them.
