When you're too dumb to deal with shards of glass...

...invent a self-wringing mop!

All things aside, this was probably the thing that bothered me the most about the movie.
The scene on the boat, where the wine glass breaks and Joy tries to clean up the mess by mopping the wine and sharp pieces of glass AND THEN WRINGING THE MOP WITH HER BARE HANDS.
How stupid can you be?
What's even the excuse for that? Nerves? Any person, especially one with kids, I'd imagine, would've dealt with broken glass in their life. And even if by some miracle they hadn't, I assume they would at least have the common sense TO NOT WRING SOMETHING FILLED WITH PIECES OF BROKEN GLASS.

My father was very excited about this movie, so I gave it a watch.
Besides it being uncompromisingly filled to the brim with awful people, this scene didn't leave me throughout the entire movie (maybe it was a metaphor of her life). I mean, really... I wish they'd have come up with something better. Or are you telling me that's how she'd always done it? lol

Most inventors are really stupid, before their ideas come to fruition. Benjamin Franklin discovered electricity after flying a kite in a storm. How dumb was that? The Wright Brothers came up with the idea of a plane by being stupid and failing many times.

Even something so natural as walking on two legs, when you are young, is something innovative. Why be so stupid and walk on only two legs, more unbalanced, than walking on both hands and feet? Yet, when walking on two legs gives us more accessibility with our hands and serves the same purpose, we find it to be innovative? Actually, walking is terrible for our spines and puts way more pressure on our spines, naturally. We should have been content on walking on our hands and legs.
