Social issues with Millennials

After watching this movie I realized these people are no different then the extreme fans of Star Trek, Star Wars, Doctor Who, Game of Thrones, or any other Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Cult like series

Is it really a big surprise that our young boys are into a show that focuses on friendship and caring? In this age of social media we are more disconnected then anytime before. Parents arrange play dates instead of kids learning how to make their own friends and with Millennials the risk of apathy is a growing problem.

I didn't see these boys as girly or homosexual but as a group of young men having that "piece" missing and turning to MLP to fill that need. Either because they suffer from a social disorder, or just don't know how to connect to other people.

Perhaps they will become better individuals by watching this program and for that I think it's great !

I blame the Gen Xer for making the show, and the Boomers for raising that Gen Xer.

Well, since a brony told me that the bronies are like the UN, apparently he believed that was something great, I have zero respect for them. My reaction was only to say "So you are just running your mouths and are absolutely and utterly irrelevant and useless in anything that is connected to reality." Because that is what the UN is. This one example already shows that bronies have zero understanding of reality.

I have seen one episode of it and that just strengthened my opinion about this franchise and its pseudo-religious followers.

They somehow believe that their weird pseudo-horse cult will change the world. In that regard they are even worse than the cultists around that insane celebration of military dictatorship that is Star Trek.

Just look at it. The tagline "friendship is magic" came clearly from the current maker of this stuff going to a kindergarten and interviewing children, because only pre-schoolers would come up with insane nonsense like that.

1) Friendship is not magic
2) There is no such thing as magic
3) It's a cartoon show, it's entertainment (shoddily written entertainment, but still), it will not change anything, ever.
4) The cultists sit around, draw crappy horse images, write even more shoddy fanfic, flood the internet with their memes (because memes make such great arguments in the first place, not), wear their "I'm a brony" token as if it was a badge of honor (self labeling is never that, it's just meaningless self labeling, nothing else), live in a dream world of talking ponies and are, across the board, useless for anything real.

i don't know why i watched this. i'm in total agreement with all your points. i guess i was curious if i would see anything that convinced me otherwise. nope. the only slightly encouraging aspect of bronyism is that none of these guys will become cutthroat wall st. masters of the universe.

as a fan of Powderpuff Girls, also created by lauren faust, i don't find anything good about MLP. gays being fans? ha. they're far more sophisticated and witty than any brony.
