Why didn't Brian cooperate with the police?

Since Brian was innocent, and there was no real evidence to tie him to the murder, her could have just surrendered politely, given his statement, be investigated and then let go.

Then he could have investigated the case himself, perhaps helping the police more in the process, instead of choosing to fight the police while trying to catch the killer.

Did he think the killer was going to leave the country, or he was on an air tight schedule?

Why did he choose to make himself a suspect?

Because then there would be no movie 😅

If I don't reply, you're probably on my ignore list for something I forgot already

Oh, yeah . . . that little minor detail.

Remember at the end when he asks Dotzler what his priority was? Dotzler answered arresting the murderer - Brian is thinking wrong answer pal and answers "saving my daughter." And that's true at the beginning too. If he surrendered he would not be able to protect his daughter.

Then he could have investigated the case himself, perhaps helping the police more in the process, instead of choosing to fight the police while trying to catch the killer.

Police would not have let the suspect help with the investigation. Even if he wasn't a suspect, they're not going to let civilians help.

Why did he choose to make himself a suspect?

He wasn't trying to make himself a suspect. He was trying to solve the murder on his own while protecting his daughter.
