They showed a knife. She was laying ion the bed dead. The "line" across her throat looked like a long scratch. No blood. Clearly not killed by slashing her throat in that bed.

In the movie, they say they slit her throat.
shareBrian says her throat had been slashed, but it is almost impossible to gauge that from the movie. Lenny still looks good and there seemed to be very little blood.🐭

Exact same thing occurred to me - there was no clue (for the viewer) as to how she died when he found her. When he pulled her drawer open in the morgue she had a very faint scratch around her neck, but later Brian says she had her throat cut. We probably shouldn't be surprised at an oversight like this in such an implausible movie.
