So the monster in the movie was a *SPOILERS*

Werewolf ? We didn't get to see much of it until the very end, but that's what it looked like to me.

Plus they sort of hint at it earlier in the movie.

To me it looked like a crossover between a werewolf and a monkey... Too bad it didn't appear onscreen more often.

Actually it's a glove puppet of King Kong, I guess the shaky camera work fooled you

I seriously thought it was some kind of killer ape at first, but towards the end when it's attacking the camera guy I freezed it and it definitely looks very canine or wolfish.

I personally thought they could have shown more

SEBO!!!

Not a Werewolf but a Shapeshifter 'forest Demon' none the less.
Basically an Indonesian Witch that haunts sacred places in the forest.

Sadly the monster was a pretty lame design regardless of whatever it was. Basically just a harry man-thing. I'm really dissapointed that the director chose found footage for this movie. Not that I don't like the technique, it can be quite effective at times. It's just that his previous films, The Reef and Black Water were great, and didn't need the whole found footage thing.

I just feel like this movie could have been so much better if he ditched that technique here, got some stronger characters, and of course make a more unique creature design. Hopefully is next film is much better.
