well the *beep* for forest crew are making a lot of money (300,000 euro already given away, 600,000 euro in the bank) but this film documents how hard it is for them to help people.

i’ve been interested to find out if *beep* for forest were exhibitionist idiots or cool hippies for a while and i’d say definitely the latter. fair play to them for doing what they do, although the film is fairly objective and certainly from the q+a session with the director at the rotterdam film festival it seemed to provoke a range of opinions about them. it’s interesting also that the founder two people, who kind of seem like the drivers of the project don’t really feature much, which is a shame.
