Polly is supposed to be 45 when she looks 15-20 years older?

I know Helen McCrory is not that old but on this show she looks much older than 45.

OTOH, it's entirely possible that women appeared more aged in 1932 because of a lesser quality of skin care products and plastic surgery nips and tucks widely undergone today.

She's 7 yrs older in real life.
They coulda just adjusted her screen age to match. Not that hard.

All that smoking and drinking back then tho. You see it in the show obviously.

She died of breast cancer between season 5 and 6. Being sick could have aged her also. My neighbor aged 10 years in 1 year going through chemo and radiation.

Have you looked at what some WWI veterans looked like at 25 back then….she could easily pass for 45 in the 1920s and 30s
