The Wrong Team Won!

The two guys were easily the strongest, They helped everybody throughout the show, shared their fires and got everyone across the river, The other two teams were mostly looking for themselves all along. I think the team that won Lucky and Louie were the worst. I got to the point I couldnt stand her stupid bow and awful squeaky voice.

Damn you Bear; Youre even more of a douche than I thought you were.

reply

I agree with everything you said. I was pretty surprised that they won. I thought they were in the final three by default.

reply

We were rooting for the same team. I thought for sure they were going to win because like you said they were helping the other teams all throughout the show. I hope they get some kind of constellation prize for being in the top 3. Even if its some free Bear gear the other 2 teams deserve something.

reply

I agree too, I think the only reason they won is because they didn't complain at all. I thought the father and son was going to win on the account they won most of the survival test . They didn't even have a final showdown wtf ?

reply

I was glad that Lucky and Louey won. I would agree that if you are caught in the wild, the two guys would probably be the best bet to get you out safely, just by their endurance and strength. But L & L had the most to overcome, him being older and her as young and weak, and I think they continued to improve. Maybe they drank the most pee, and ate the most maggots.

And thats exactly what Bear said he was choosing; the team he would most want to be with him if his children were lost in the wild. And it was all about courage. And I was sure it was going to be the two men. Would those three teams even have gotten fire that night? Would they have gotten across that river without a rope strung across it?

So it was all BS and it goes to the old man and his dippy daughter who I didnt think even deserved to be in the final three. I guess cause this is Walmart whose sponsoring this show not LL Bean.

reply

Did you really think they were going to give it to 2 young men rather than an old man and his daughter? No shot, I knew who was going to win when it came down to the final 3. They would have really had to fall on their faces in the last episode to lose. That wasn't even close and they still gave it to them.

reply

The other guys team made so many mistakes throughout, that it seemed they didn't retain any information that was handed to them. Stay out of the water, make decent shelters, stay positive, etc.

It's true they helped everyone out, and were the strongest team physically, but they kept making mistakes, whilst Lucky and Louie seemed to be the smartest\most effective team on the final trek.

I was hoping L&L won, glad they did.

reply

Huh? They built a great shelter and were the only team with FIRE at the final challenge. Honestly the other teams may not have survived in real life without fire. They absolutley stayed positive. The only legit comment is the water comment and it was not repeated except for that weak criticism about their raft. They were getting down river much faster than the others. If you get down faster, you are off the water sooner so it really wasn't as bad a decision as Bear made out. They wanted L&L to win.

reply

They made fire... FIRST. Apart from the other team who lost their tinder or whatnot, L&L would probably make fire aswell - they were the ones to make fire on the signal fire.

I just think you're being too 'direct' on the requirements to win. Ofcourse you would rather be with those two guys in the wild for real, they're younger, stronger, willing... but that wasn't the only criteria to winning the SHOW. At least that's the way i see it, otherwise there wouldn't be a point of having any team not consisting of young males between 18-25, to steamroll through the wild.

reply

Nah, I would prefer to have someone experienced in survival. They would have to be reasonably fit but certainly not necessarily young or male. I didn't think it was all that close. In fact if the gay friends hadn't spoken out, L&L probably would have gone home that week. They did a decent job but didn't deserve the win.

reply

I am pretty sure to win this show you had to be the best. Period. Should not matter your age or gender, that is the definition of equality. If you would rather have those two guys with you if you were lost in the woods, out of the three teams, I think you see the problem there...

reply

They basically made one mistake and that was in the first episode to get food. The raft in the last episode being counted against them was a joke. They just got out of the river in which they were completely submerged already, it was raining, they had a small distance to go, and they knew it was the last stretch of the competition so being wet had no bearing on their next few nights since they were leaving. They had literally just jumped into the water, then floated down river, then Bear drills them for their raft being too low into the water. Pathetic.

Hands down, Chris and Jeff should have won. If I'm in a survival situation, I'll take the two strong able-bodied men, not an old guy and his daughter. Lucky and Louie were great, just not the best and safest bet to "get out alive"...

Do you recall that creek that became a raging river right before the spot where they had to build the signal fire and Chris took a rope across so everyone could get safely across. Could Louie or Lucky or Jim or his father done that? Bear didnt even mention that. And as far as never complaining, theres a little something called editing. We saw a few hours edited after the fact so who really knows if Polyanna was always the sunshine queen. Thats the problem when the judgement is subjective and at the whim of a single person.

There was a show called 72 hours on TNT for a few weeks. It was a survival show of three teams of three in various locales and the first team that got to the money split I think $100,000. No big sponsor like Walmart or self aggrandized celebrity like Bear so I dont think too many people watched it. But it was a lot more honest than this show because the team that held up and got to the money first won.

reply

Completely agree. They were robbed!

reply

Not really, no. If not for being part of a group, the two guys would've died in the first epĂsode. I can hardly think of any situation where Lucky and Louie were at risk of dying. Sure, they made some poor decisions and were slower in a few aspects, but at the end of the day, they would've survived by themselves.

Definitely the winners.
