shareI'm not sure how things are done in Denmark, but in the US, detectives generally wear normal clothing and don't always wear protective vests. Maybe they weren't completely certain of the situation so they were not prepared. I would think that policemen would have vests stored in their car...so I'm not sure why they didn't bother to get them out and wear them...
