Havent seen the movie and I am an American, but in the books the character is described by the main character (Carl) as not speaking Danish very well.

he does comment in the film that his Danish is bad but as i dont speak it ive no idea if thats true ..but it was good to see a Muslim portrayed in a positive way

"Nee ta ma duh tyen-shia suo-yo duh run doh gai si"

It's actually pretty good. You can clearly hear the accent but it sounds more middle-eastern than swedish, but it's not as bad as most immigrants from those parts.

obviously they had to make it somewhat easy to understand, otherwise the viewers wouldn't understand what he said. And he did speak Danish clearer than a lot of immigrants living in the country (and I speak as someone who grew up in one of the cities with the highest percentage in the country, so I would now :P)

He speaks Danish with a strong accent. He´s understandable but the accent is very strong. I disagree with other comments. I think a lot of immigrants with a few years here speaks better than he does in the movie. However I never detected he had a Swedish accent before reading it here...

His English in The System of The Dawn is not bad though.
