Prakash Raj has the same charcter in every movie

Prakash Raj, who is the main vilian of many masala movies has the same character. It's not that he is bad at that, don't get me wrong. He is ruthless, powerful, dangerous, and rude. By the look and when he delivers lines and performances, it actually fill fear in our minds and hearts. He kills as he pleases, Police is afraid of him. And then one Hero attacks his den. He dies at the end. Only the hero and a little of the story change. Other than that, everything remain the same. Prakash has been doing this in Tamil movies now he is in Bollywood movies. Singham, Dabbang 2, Policegiri and now Singh Saab The Great.

Yeah I've noticed that and I can't help but wonder if Prakash Raj is one of those actors who fears that he will lose an audience if he does anything other than what he became famous for.

Maybe the producers of the films have tried casting him as a villain of a different sort, but the impact wasn't as great as they or he wanted it to be, so they end up sticking what works and that is him playing the same role movie after movie as long as it keeps the audience engaged.

It does get frustrating sometimes to see this over and over, but I don't know whether either Prakash or the film makers are ready to risk his career by trying out a character that won't quite match up to the 110% that he is already putting in by doing the same character time and again.

He has mastered this character and in his mind, and also in the minds of film makers and audiences out there, him playing anything else would be falling short of the trade mark evil that he plays in such an outstanding way.

He has done and is doing some excellent work and varied roles down south - especially in Telugu and Kannada movies.
He is one of the versatile actors around and owns each and every role he is offered.
Its only in Hindi movies that he does same character again and again

Why So Serious???
