Helena Duel ** Spoilers, I guess**

In this ritual fight, both fighters are tied from the same hand. In the movie, their left hand. If one fighter is left-handed, he would be in a serious disadvantage. Just wondering, if this kind of fight actually existed, how would they solve this situation?

You just f-cked with the wrong mexican!

The "Helena Duel" did exist. The tradition was the left hand was tied. If you were left-handed, bad luck.

Not sure he would be at a disadvantage at all. In a duel like this, the primary objective has to be defense and manuevering your opponent in to a position where you can deliver a death blow without him being able to stab you. To do that, you are going to need to use the tied arm to push, pull, and twist.
