Let's Forgo Authentic Dialog Of The Period.

I hate movies that don't care to portray the period accurately.

This movie is basically a PC allegory based on the currently popular "minorities mistreated" narrative. As whites we're supposed to be appalled and ashamed, because shame and guilt are really effective tools. If I'm wrong, tell me why you won't see a movie today, that does the converse of this and shows minorities' remorseless, evil atrocities against white people?

They portray white people as wanting to kill just to see what it feels like or for thrill/sport/enjoyment. If white people can be capable of this, then so can all races. So let's see the unsexy "minority on white" evil too. The media and entertainment industry want nothing to do with my proposed unsexy alternative. They want you to believe that only white people do bad things.

Just watch the news on TV.

So you expect a craptastic movie like this to be accurate about anything? About the only thing they got right was the clothing was better than most. At least they had pants without beltloops and used suspenders. The hats were not far from correct.

Toward the end I was looking for authentic elements in the movie. I came up with: Blue sky, muddy brown water, green leaves on trees, pebbles in the wall of the eroded river bank.

Not sure how authentic Woody's white duds were, but they made him look weird and for Woody that's authentic.

Typical post-race white racist BS.
