I've read your review on this movie here, and i feel 'lame' is the only world you could type in the dark....i'm doing better here :)...Sad you feel this way about this movie:(
I have, and each and every person in the theater who watched this movie with me have LOVED and laughed heartily all the way till the end.
I'll dare and say it was better than 'Zombieland' the onther zom-com i loved.
The reasons you mentioned in your review that supposedly made this film so average... are infact lame. Please know this again.... this IS ZOM-COM.
Zombies are slow and dumb in every other movie too... unless you could outrun me.

The last bit where Kunal khemu is chased by that zombie in filmy stlye ......was such a perfect tribute to the first Indian Zom-com.
Secular, liberal, broad and open minded, imaginative, snse of humour.... are the words you need to perfect in dark the next time you write.
Respect your views.... but its better if you dont have them at all.

Are you suggesting that every genre which is connected to the word "comedy" should evince vulgarity, stereotypes & cooked up stories to actually induce humor?
What is the story in G3? What is the plot? Just a bunch of nymphos trying to get laid & get attacked by zombies. Phew!

And the last part being a filmy tribute? Oh, come on now! That was indeed LAME.

It was just OK. I thought that the trailer was better than the trailers of Shawn of the Dead and ZombieLand. So, I expected it to be at least as good as those films.
I guess I should have kept my expectations down.

I don't mean to start a riot, but for a bollywood movie that was pretty off the chain. Especially with all the crap they have been releasing lately, this is the first movie this year that i've had a good time watching. Looking forward to some more comedy this year.

Seriously? You thought Zombieland was better than this one? Take away the 'rules' part in Zombieland and what has it got to offer for comedy?
I think this IS the best of any Zom-coms that've been made so far.

If you didn't see what was good about Zombieland when you saw it on your own, nothing I can say about the film can convince you otherwise, because whatever I will say that I liked, you apparently didn't.
Go Goa Gone is a good comedy. But, it's the zombie part that I have a problem with. I'm a fan of horror. The filmmakers (the writing and directing duo) said, in an interview, that they don't like horror movies and don't watch it either. Their lack of love of horror SHOWS in this movie. For example, in the climax of all the 3 films (Zombieland, Shawn, Go Goa) they abandon the comedy and concentrate on the horror. The climax in those 2 films was good horror, but in this film it was just boring. The introduction of zombies also was much better in those 2 films. Infact, in this film, even the best comedy scene involving zombies was, as one of the characters says, lifted directly from Shawn of the Dead (The character doesn't specify the name of the movie, but there's where it's lifted from).

In other words:
Com = good (quite good, in fact)
Zom = not good

But, I still liked the movie (on my second viewing, when I knew what to expect) due to the comedy aspect, specially because the audience in the second theater was was more lively (The audience in the 1st theater were a grimm lot, and hardly laughed).

Maybe you were too thick to understand the comedy in "Zombieland". Your taste in comedy seems too slapstick and/or physical comedy oriented (you know, like some guy farting, or randomly slipping etc - may be you think films like "nutty professor" or "The Mask" are better comedy than say, "Annie hall" or "Dr. Stranglove"). "Zombieland" and "Shawn of the dead" are good because they had much better script/actors.

I don't know whether I can call the so called office "sex" scene or skinny dipping in the pool as funny - they feel like that they were more forcefully inserted in the script to give the audience few cheap laughs. The only recent Indian movie where I found any genuine comedy was Delhi Belly - pure intelligent comedy, which I enjoyed a lot.

The fact that a movie made in India/Bollywood is even comparable to Zombieland/Shaun Of The Dead is a feat in itself. Its a start of a new genre in India. I thought it was a pretty decent flick, must watch if you're desi and into zombie movies.

This movie was crazy awesome , I had a blast watching it , kunal khemu is such an underrated actor !

As a mom of twenty somethings, I've seen stoners come in and out of my house for years. I see my sons and their friends in all the characters. You can really believe this if you know someone like them! So funny!

It's such a terrible movie. Seen it all before. Nothing new here. Save you time and many and patience.

I understand what it wanted to be but it failed terribly. Not a good movie. I'm trying to see at least one Zombie film from every country. India has failed.
