Hauntingly mundane

Beautifully shot film that expertly introduces the audience to the emotional turmoil of a troubled couple who are selling their house and, consciously or not, are on the verge of ending their relationship. Unfortunately it's terrifically boring.

The house (based just off Kensington High Street in West London) is perhaps the most fascinating character in this film with the exception of the tortured husband. The wife is one of the most irritating characters ever caught on film.

This film drags. Even in an 'arty' cinema with an older demographic, most people were muttering 'what was that all about' and 'entirely confusing'.

It's good to have some company here, and you've given a fair summary, except I'm not convinced they're going their separate ways. Once she's had her exhibition things do seem to pick up.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

I agree with above post.I gave this a chance ,and watched it due to Tom Hiddleston, who is just a glimmer in this unfortunately .. I appreciate what he by himself does acting wise in this movie but not always embrace ALL of his movies but 98 % of them I love..Tom's a gem,and I see him just a diamond that sparkles in any movie

I agree, very dissapointing film, very little explained, very little revealed, few reasons for their actions, too many random pieces.

Clearly the camerawork is key, some great visuals and use of angles and reflections, plus the sound was clesrly important to the filmmakers, but it was very hard to feel sympathy, warmth or interest in any of the characters and so I didn't really care what happened and why

I would like to see Viv Albertine in something much better, it wouldn't be difficult to improve on this 100 minutes that I feel I have wasted.

Rather meandering. Pretentious really.

Saw it yesterday. I enjoyed it. No subtitles, which was very annoying as the two leads mumbled a lot.
