An 'alternative' superhero film

Quirky and witty, the way in which Antboy and his nemesis, The Flea, gain their superhero powers is intriguing. Played mostly by actors interspersed with animation, Antboy is as much a coming-of-age film as it is one about superheroes. Or perhaps it's better to say anti-superheroes. It's very cool, in a Scandinavian way, and the child actors are superb.

I saw this at the London Film Festival. I hope it gets distribution for wider release.

Why do you refuse to remember me?

Or jumping on the MCU bandwagon and trying to scrap a couple bucks using the plot from Spiderman while hoping to get some confused renters thinking it's connected to Ant-Man coming out next year? The fact that a sequel's greenlit in time for AntMan makes that coming-of-age sentence kinda buckle, eh?

Actually, the film is based on a Scandinavian film and I'd argue is better done then any Spider-man film except for the first Sam Rami directed one. Very surprised by the quality of this, especially coming out of a place not known for films. I look forward to more.

You have no idea what you're talking about. The story was around long before marvel started making all their films.
And you say a sequel was green-lit just in time for the Antman release? Well the Antboy sequel comes out December 25, 2014
When does Antman come out? Oh yea, 7 months later.
Dope.
