Using 'whilst' is not a goof + a lesson in logic

People are complaining about the use of the word 'whilst' by an American and say that because they don't use it, it must be a goof.

Some Americans do use the word whilst. If you are American and don't use that word that does not preclude other Americans using it.

If none of your friends use the words 'whilst' it does not preclude other Americans using it.
