So Brent and Tanner

really end up as just friends? I iz sad. :(

I just feel like there's something weird about the fact that Snobbish British Guy and Closeted Mormon Guy get to have more action (with some potential of it blossoming into a romance down the line) than the protagonist does.

Yeah, I agree. It would've made more sense for them to become a couple.
They're both really adorable together.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Paul Iacono & he was excellent in this.
Over all it was an enjoyable film that didn't shy away from the harsh reality of the homophobic world we live in.

I also would like to have seen more of Michael Willett in his tighty whities but maybe another time:)

Yeah, I was also sad about this. Throughout the movie, I was so happy, thinking that this is finally a movie where the two friends don't realize "love was in front of me all this time" only at the end but they have chemistry for a while and just naturally develop their relationship from being best friends. And since they were friends first, they actually had a lot of potential to stay together for a long time.

I agree with you. I feel like there is potential for future romance, but the fact is they knew it's better to stay friends for the time being. But I have a feeling if they were real people they would most definitely end up together in the future.

This is gonna *beep* do for him what "Jade" did for David Caruso.

I think it would have ended up too cliche'd, they did still have a romantic moment in the half of the film...

reply

Cliché yes, but at least it would have made sense . . . that whole 'we shouldn't be together because we're so close' was pretty awful.

reply

It would've made for a happier ending, but it wasn't earned. They acted more like best friends than a couple, and it would've been implausible to believe they would be a couple that lasted since there wasn't any romance between them sans the drunk night.

Turns out, their relationship is the titular, G.B.F. It made sense to me. At least one of them didn't die or get killed as In the other movies they were watching.
