Why is there a 30 minute version of this out there

Saw this on our PBS affiliate two nights ago and it played for 30 minutes. Obviously there's a longer version. Hope it gets shown again in its full form

It aired tonight on December 17, 2016. Full hour. Well made for a lighthearted family tale.
