I feel the same way. First film I've seen in a while to really hit me emotionally. I like Clark Gregg as an actor a lot(Coulson is my fave Marvel MCU character), but with this he cemented the fact that he is a talented son of a bitch in my mind.
Also I loved Sam Rockwell's sleazy turn as Aldo. Positively hated his child poaching nemisis character, but Rockwell is great in the role(as he usually is).
Same here. I usually have little interest or patience for films about people in "THE INDUSTRY"( as I worked in it for twenty long years and saw human behavior that would make you pull your eyeballs out... think "Swimming With Sharks"), but Gregg's character is such a nice guy you can't help but root for him from the get-go.
It's not a film I'm likely to revisit soon, but for the 90 some-odd minutes I spent watching this, I was engaged emotionally enough to recommend it to others.
I'm usually drawn to movies that shows how backstabbing the world of show business can be. What people would do to climb to the top fasinates me. In general, I enjoyed this movie.
Clark Gregg was really good in the movie. No one was bad. It is worth a watch.
I was expecting not to like this as much as I did. I wonder if Clark is an American Beauty fan, because I picked out a few things that reminded me of AB.
