Not good but.....I still liked it for some reason lol

Maybe because I have a soft spot for "true" werewolf films that use practical effects. The transformation scene in this was quite good. Though the actual faces of the werewolfs' seemed off. They look.....well they look odd and not quite werewolf IMO.

The acting is mostly atrocious. I liked the lead guy, he played his part pretty damn well. Definitely bought him as an angry vet that lost his eyesight, then his wife, and in general is just a mean ole a-hole tough guy.

I think the opening music sets a great tone and the best part of the film really is the beginning with the first werewolf encounter. Admittedly it goes down after that, and again some of the acting here is just awful. Those cops......ugh.

^yeah, this is pretty much my opinion it. I love werewolf movies. but there are only a handful that I'd rewatch. this is one of them. there were some solid performances in it ex. Damici.

I agree 100% i watched it, i shouldn't like it, but i still do. I probably wont ever watch it again but it was "fun". Those werewolves though...i bought my son the same costume at Halloween Express.

Cool.

I'm with you. Even with its flaws, and there were a lot, I still liked this movie. I think it was mainly because of Damici and Noonan, and maybe even the Last Starfighter.

Tough, mean but still likeable in his own way. Very similar to the Colin Quinn character in Trainwreck.

...and Mrs. Taylor sure seems to use a lotta ice, whenever he's away

Pretty much my thoughts exactly. I threw this on Netflix thinking it would put me to sleep, but it held my interest. I almost stopped it after the very first killing, though, because the creature effect was so lame and I thought it would have been better to not show the thing at all - at least until the end of the movie, where by then you'd be too invested to turn it off over bad makeup effects.

One of my major complaints was how derivative the movie was of others, in particular Bubba Ho-Tep. There's even a person in this movie in an iron lung. I won't give away any spoilers, but throughout I kept thinking how obvious it was that Ho-Tep was the main source of inspiration (instead of a mummy, let's do a werewolf!).

Favorite actor in the movie was Tom Noonan, the priest. He's one of the most natural actors I've ever seen. Lots of familiar faces throughout, and some shockers: Lance Guest looks like a blowfish these days. I almost turned it off in the opening scene when I saw Larry Fessenden, because I have disliked every single movie I have ever seen him in. Fortunately he had a small role. ;)

I feel the same way as the OP, in that I liked it for some reason.
It's a generous 6/10, and for me, the lead character carried this film. It was him I was interested in, not the wolves.

Same here, the lead character kept me watching and gave it a bump from 5/10 to a 6. It's an oddly likeable film.

I have to agree with the comments above.
The movie was nothing special, but it kept me entertained and it was definitely fun to watch once.

Plus, Dana Ashbrook and Tom Noonan; I'm always happy to see those guys.

it will be really good if he just call the police, not Will.
