Nac3, these kids are so consistently "dissed" by the privileged, wealthy, self-important, "superior" a-holes of the world it makes me sick. I'm a 67-year-old widow who grew up and was schooled in suburban New Jersey. Fortunately for me, at that time (late 50s-early 60s) education was taken seriously. My high school had programs for everybody -- college prep, auto repair (we had our own garage for the purpose), and even a hairdressing section, among other specific programs to offer students fields of study that could hold their interest. At least in New York, public education is so bad now it's little wonder there's so much truancy and so little learning that could produce adults with some real knowledge of the world and how to make use of what they know. I just keep my fingers crossed that at least some of the potential geniuses (or anywhere near) escape the peer pressure and disrespect and are able to live up to some of their potential, if not all. Sadly, I wonder if there will be any jobs for the ones that do make it through. I feel lucky that I won't be around to see what this world becomes 30 years from now.
I'm only in Show Biz by injection
