DVD RELEASE?

Anybody have input as to when/if this is going to be released on dvd? Just a plug for an unrated or NC-17 rated version if it is, nobody is going to want to see a dumbed down version just to get an R rating. Most everyone is buying director's cuts/unrated versions if they are available so they can see the whole film & not the NCAA's weak-@$$ watered down edit to please the church-goers (who will only watch it when nobody else is around). NC-17 rules! Thanks for any constructive insight.

Hi Tonyp3101, this is Lukas Kendall, one of the writer-producers of Lucky Bastard. We have yet to make any video/VOD deals but plan to do so soon. For what it's worth, Robert Nathan and I do not believe the movie is "cuttable" to an R-rating due to the subject matter and have no plans to try. We think the NC-17 rating is terribly misunderstood and stigmatized, as there is far racier content any typical night on Cinemax. The NC-17 rating is not a value judgment, it is a label so the movie reaches age-appropriate audiences—that's all. We submitted our film to the MPAA because we thought it was the responsible thing to do as filmmakers, but as non-signatories it was a voluntary decision. Thank you for your interest in our picture.
