Realized about half way in.

No jk, as soon as they cut to a scene with modern society i realized i wasn't watching http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1428538/ on netflix instead some other crap.

SERIOUSLY, releasing two movies with the SAME title the SAME year?? Someone needs to be sued.

Haha, I only realized after coming to IMDB..I was sure Jeremy Renner was on the poster and was waiting to see him turn up in the movie and I didn't see much with hunting going on...

I got them mixed up because I didn't know there were 2. Watched this one for 2 minutes, was about to quit, scanned the message board for the other and figured it must get better. I was wrong.

Likewise. Both movies ended up sucking equally. Waste of time.

Actually THREE Hansel and Gretel movies released practically back to back. Someone on the set of H&G WH must have leaked a big budget blockbuster was in the making so everyone wanted to try and piggyback off of the success of the blockbuster.
Sort of a shame, though. I thought this movie isn't that bad (in terms of Asylum productions). I think most of the hate comes from viewers who wanted to see the other one getting disappointed. If they released it the following year I think it would have gotten a much higher rating.
