Stop changing the cameras !!!

Amazing performance. All of them were just on top of their game. The sound is superb. So who in the hell decided it was a good idea to switch cameras EVERY.THREE.SECONDS ?!?!?! I got a headache after watching it for about a 30 minutes ! I understand the idea of frequently switching cameras in order to keep a sense of energy to the performance. But my god, I think the longest duration of any of the cameras was maybe 10 seconds, but I don't even think that was ever done.

I have to agree, it was annoying, but the I think the most distracting part was the low-res footage from hand-held cameras...

reply

OMG I agree. You have this epic once in a lifetime performance and their nearly (or completely) destroying it with video voodoo. Please, it's not needed.

reply

Exactly. I seriously can't believe this happened. Like you said, once in a lifetime performance and some moron decides to *beep* it up with the video that looks like it was directed by somebody who just got done doing a ton of meth.

and I guess Plant & Page both liked it as well...? Because I'm assuming nothing would get released without their approval.

It's the way of modern video editors - terrible trend that I wish would stop but it doesn't seem likely. It would be nice if there were options - 1) The 4-second clip version, 2) a single straight on view, and 3) something in the middle.

That would be really cool. And it's completely possible with Bly-ray.

I seem to recall reading about how things like that were going to be happening in the age of blu-ray. But I don't think I've ever seen it.
