Can you believe this almost didn't get made

Browsing Youtube, I came across the press conference, and unless I misunderstood him, Jimmy Page said they had no intention of making a concert film for distribution when they did the concert. This is mysterious to me, and frightening to think we might never have seen it! I wonder how they could not have immediately thought about the large demand among the millions of fans who didn't get to go to the concert...

Maybe that wasn't foremost on their mind that the time but it's hard to imagine it not coming out eventually and that's exactly what happened. They certainly didn't hurry themselves into putting it out.

They've never been too thrilled with the results of capturing themselves live for some reason. Took 3 years to get Song Remains out and they have never been very fond of it.
