Saw your comment & felt the need to throw that statement straight back at you. If Zeus, Thor, RA, Vishnu, Mithra, Apollo, (You get my drift) just happen to be a little less bloodthirsty than the fella your trusting in (Yahweh, maybe?), the safest bet would be the one that, until at least 1 of them make themselves known (With no room for doubt for anyone) then i'm just gonna assume it's all just the same BS with different names. Your guy was always talking with folks & sending Angels, parting seas & doing REAL miracles (except grow back lost limbs). It makes me wonder why he stopped doing those things, what was it that changed? We only have a single old book written by "Who knows who" to say any of it ever even happened in the 1st place.

I find the message in that old book that was contributed to by many people but is supposed to be divinely inspired

It's the people that are repackaging the message and selling it for their own benefit that irks me

Which parts are 'well worth knowing and embracing'? The treatises on how to treat your slaves? Eating the flesh of your sons and daughters? Killing folk that work on Sundays?

Here's a few lovely little words 'to live by':

As a Christian, I didn't like this movie either. I found it to be too violent for a Christian movie, and I was just sad after watching it, because I felt that it would most likely give Christians a bad name. And I am not sure how anyone can complain about "preaching" in this movie, because it did not really have much of a message. Also, there have been plenty of movies that preach Gnostic and anti-Christian propaganda, but most people don't seem to mind that. I would think that it would have gotten old to people by now, but it seems to be a world wide obsession at this point. However, I can't say that I am surprised since the Bible itself did warn that Christ's true followers would be hated and persecuted, as I have shown in the following article that I wrote on my site: http://jdlarsenmn.tripod.com/unwittingly_proving.htm

But I am not saying this to pick on atheists or anything. In fact, I actually find that much of the anti-Christian persecution in our day comes from those who are religious, as I also mentioned in the article that I posted above.
