Why must people

mock religion and denigrate films such as this one. The movie was extremely well done. The special effects were great, not cheesy. The acting was good, the plot had continuity and the sub-plot of Josh's back-story was compelling.
If you're not into the movie's message then don't watch it. It's really quite pretentious of non-Christians to hurl vulgar insults at a film just because it conflicts with their own lack of belief. A hallmark of intelligence and maturity is the ability to accept the rights of others to believe as they choose.

You are correct, sir. People find it easy to mock Christian films, especially the ones done on a smaller budget. They did well with what they had. This is light-years ahead of 'Left Behind', IMO.

Personally, I've been waiting for a Christian themed movie with a good excuse for action/martial arts (I know this isn't a "martial arts" move per se, but Josh's backstory allows for him to defend himself in a couple of great scenes). I hope this grows legs and Part 2 becomes a reality.

Just a movie. Solid B movie. So what if it includes Christian protagonists. Judge it based on quality of storytelling. I give it a B-.

Without the religious theme, the quality is still flawed. You can't excuse the gimmicks and plot holes.

reply

If that were true I wouldn't be able to excuse 80% (that figure may be low) of the movies I have ever watched.

The movie was extremely well done.

It really wasn't. Stop cutting it slack because it's a Christian film.
