In the episode when Rae is reading Chloe's diary, it is the complete opposite of what we experienced from Rae's diary. Do you think Chloe lied to make herself come off better, but why would she lie in her own diary, no-one else was meant to see it, so who was she writing the lies too. Same could be said about Rae i guess, but one of them has to be
shareI think neither of them is necessarily lying. The same situation can be perceived very differently by people who have taken part in it. When you remember an episode of your life with other persons who also lived it, is quite common for each one to point and provide different perspectives, because everyone lives and internalizes that situations in their own way.
I know it is almost unbelievable to watch how the same experiences can be seen from so opposite points of view, but I also feel that it is pretty much how it works in real life.
Probably the "truth" about what really happened on every situation it's a middle term between the two diaries.
