Fight scenes

So given the track record of David Leitch can we expect some fight scenes of the top order?

reply

I would expect so

I've seen the preview, and they're ridiculous. They show a 40 something 110 lb white woman beating the shit out of professional thugs. It's absurd. Most of the so called "punches" which she throws wouldn't faze a six year old. This is obviously being pushed by the PC Police and the Militant Feminists. It's absurd BS!

There is no way I would waste my money on this type of trash. It will obviously bomb big time!

"Fruitcake anyone?"

The fight scenes are great, just not as numerous as John Wick.

The stairwell fight especially is up there with the hallway fight in Oldboy.

reply

The staircase fight is one of the best ones that I have seen and would hold up against any other ones from the past. It is brilliantly executed, filmed with sophisticated long takes, and believable enough given the discrepancy in opponents' weights. The earlier fight in the deceased agent's apartment is poorly done however, and is not very believable. But other than that one exception, the rest of them, including the latter one with the blond guy are excellent.

reply

The fight scenes are really the reason to see the movie cause the plot is somewhat convoluted. But yeah no one stages a fight like the John Wick directors.

I'm trying to go for an engaging, funny youtube channel so, if you have the time, take a look. Hope you enjoy what you see. Thanks in advance. A review of the movie here-https://youtu.be/FJHDz39T6wo

I felt there wuz not enuf violent action in movie

reply

I think they seemed realistic, they may have not been realistic, but this is how fight scenes seemed.

reply

fight scenes, yes

GOOD fight scenes... hell no

reply

I thought they were some of the best choreographed fight scenes I've seen in awhile but also over the top. By the end of the film, they were downright unbelievable. Nevertheless, some basic good movie entertainment during a somewhat boring Sunday afternoon.

reply

I went in with high expectations, at least for the action.
Unfortunately, the fight scenes were very disappointing. They looked choreographed to shit, as though I was watching a play-by-play sparring recreation.
