Significance of altered geography in final shot of the series?

I noticed that in the final pull away shot of Jubilex that the geography is significantly different from reality. The border extends too far North, is a different shape, and the Northern side to the West of the bride is shown as uninhabited whereas in reality this is a heavily populated area.

It seems to me that it would take some effort to alter and so I wonder what the significance might be. Perhaps such shots are totally composited these days and so it was just a rough approximation?
