I love Álex de la Iglesia, but this may be his weakest movie yet

Story goes nowhere, character development is completely wasted, comedy goes way over the top and kills any horror and the dialogue is not nearly as funny and smart as the writer thinks it is...

Decent direction, actors and effects can not save a selfindulgent mess like this one.

The Day of the Beast (1995), this isn't; let alone From Dusk til Dawn or Evil Dead.

If you disagree, however, then name your weakest de la Iglesia's movie.

Well, since this is the only one I have seen, I can't compare, but I thought it was pretty much amazing.

IMO 'From Dusk Till Dawn', like the vast majority of Robert Rodriguez's films, is immensely overhyped and overrated.
