What the heck happened to Matthew Smith?

I mean, just look at him - teeth missing, messed up face, wandering, wild eyes of an alcoholic, speech impediment, denim jackets..

Is he officially a hobo now? His bits were shocking and uncomfortable to watch.

There's a fine line between genius and madness. Smith obviously has mental disorders which often go hand in hand with mental gifts. He was struggling with his mind at the peak of his career and obviously things have only gotten worse.
