It was very disturbing that the couple committing adultery kept blaming others for the pain and complexity in their lives. Marie blamed her daughter as the cause of the suicide. Then Samir blames Naima... You idiots were the liars and the sinners living in adultery. They kept blaming others. Whether the wife read the emails or not, they are the main reason for all the pain everywhere.

However, the term "adultery", while technically accurate, may not be the best way to describe a very unusual situation. shareCompletely agree with OP. I wanted to smack the both of them during all the blame dodging scenes. She clearly still had feelings for her ex husband, he cared a great deal for his still-married-to wife. I understand when couples get into a rut, it's much easier to call it quit than stay miserable to work things out. People like Marie and Samir may want to look into lives as a single parent, at least until they become more emotionally available. Adult toys can keep them warm in the mean time
