O/T A film about Wild West lawman Bass Reeves

that would be lovely to see.

Morgan Freeman worked for a decade to try and portray him in a film but couldn;t get financing. Though i imagine it may work much better as a series on HBO or Showtime

Yes, and it would finally silence the garbage about no significant black people in the Old West.

An argument on one of these posts was made that between famous/infamous black lawmen and outlaws in the West, there were only about ten.

Assume this is true. Have there been ten movies?

There was one of those "Legends and Lies" docudramas about Reeves, but a movie or miniseries would be a lot better.
The book "Black Gun, Silver Star: was very interesting.
