I just watched the DVD and it also had English subtitles for the German scenes.

Well assuming you download illegally that's going to happen. If not then check your settings.

If you watch on VLC you may be able to see the subtitles.

LOL wait so you committed theft and illegally downloaded the film, and then you openly complain about the pirated copy not having subtitles?? That's fcking hilarious   

I completely agree with you.

The blu-ray and DVD disks both have subtitles for the lines spoken in German. Is it really that hard, or expensive, for someone to pay for, say, a Netflix account to get movies delivered to them?

I hope the OP doesn't get paid for whatever job he has (assuming he has one). If he thinks the people that create movies don't deserve compensation for their efforts, neither does he.

Just watched it on Netflix. NO subtitles for the scenes in German!
