This movie sucks big time, but perhaps its biggest fault is when that annoying brat screws the not-so-handsome geek. It is later revealed she is 17, and I'm pretty sure he is over 18. So there you have it.

The age of consent in most US states is under the age of 18, most commonly 16 or 17 years old. The OP is either a troll or ignorant.

Since the setting of the movie took place in France, then wouldn't France's age of consent apply?

She's actually 27. She changed her age to 17 when the family switched identities.

You're saying in the film she's a 27 year old virgin who gave away her virginity to a man that didn't promise her anything? Not even a first date? It's not like her character it wasn't believable

I think he was making a joke about the actress being 27 at the time they made the movie.

How is that a fault? On the contrary, it was refreshing to see a movie where that stupidity wasn't adressed. After all, he couldn't be older than 25, so it's not a big deal.
