Spare Yourselves - It's Bad

Not even the talented cast could save this bland attempt at a Rom Com. It plays like a big budget student film... or a low budget feature. I'm sure all efforts were made to create something good here but it fell far short. Get your Leblanc fix by watching EPISODES. He soars in that.

You did not try hard enough to avoid this attack. Much like the filmmakers avoided comedy. And inept more describes your attempt at rebuttal than my easy description of a film that lacks humor.

I thought the cast did an excellent job with what they had to work with. I'm guessing you're Matt Leblanc's manager's assistant - intern - or kid - the way you vehemently defend this film.

I understand your logic regarding the "lovesick" behavior you have personally witnessed. But you're obviously the "crazy" one in those relationships. If this subject is so near and dear to you make a documentary with scientific information. That would probably be more entertaining.

The truth is that this film just wasn't funny. It was a waste of time to watch.

It was also ugly. If there was a millimeter of shadow in the frame the DP would have put on another bright light to get rid of it. Multi-cam sitcoms look better.

Anyway you're right, it was horribly unfunny. The concept was fine and some solid writers could have made a great, hilarious movie out of it, but this wasn't it. There were two other people in the theater with me today and they both walked out (though one seemed to be just killing time before his movie started or something), and it's only showing 2x a day at one theater in Los Angeles, so that means of the two (or three) people who WANTED to see this thing, one (or two) of them couldn't last 20 minutes.

If you think the original version was ugly ..I watched my copy taken from a shady place from a forbidden zone of the Internet. And as luck would have it, it is dubbed into French. Now Matt could very well speak some French as his last name would suggest. But not this fast and so out of character and out of sync.

Which leaves me with 19 minutes and 45 seconds of shear unadulterated bliss for which I thank kindly

The woods are lovely, dark and deep but I have a lot to see before I sleep

what do you expect from a Joey movie? Did Joey say "How'ya doing?"

I didn't find this film that bad. There were some cute scenes, such as when all the old girlfriends get together at the restaurant. I do like Matt, so that may be why I liked the movie.
