Draco Malfoy (Tom Felton) really needs some Range.

Its like every role ive seen him in since Harry Potter has ending. Has him playing the same whinny A$$ho1e. Just Saying.

I think your opinion of him needs some range, since you're referring to Tom Felton as Draco Malfoy as opposed to who he actually is. Therefore, how is a very good performance, as in Belle, going to work on you if you won't allow it to?

I haven't seen him in anything since Harry Potter, but with the way his face showed disgust towards Dido like Draco showed towards Hermione, I kept expecting him to call out, "Mudblood!"

Hahaha! Great observation.

I was thinking this too. Lol x

Well, he chose to play the part of Malfoy and has forever been frozen into that character. His character in Belle is just Malfoy going off to have dinner at a wealthy families house. He will never be a leading man, or the hero, or the romantic interest in a movie. Nope. He'll always be the contemptuous, rude, crude, loathsome character, that he plays so well, in every movie.

He is the new version of William Zabka. Always an *beep* in every role.

Typecasting is an issue for him, but he was good in this compared to RoTPotA

reply

He does need range but he was good in this.

What do you mean, "needs some range"? Starting with HP, and every time he has shown up since, he has delivered a rock solid, nuanced performance, with subtle facial expressions, line delivery, and demeanor ranging from: "who had the audacity to fart in my presence?" to "that was me that farted, and that fart had lumps, but nobody will be impertinent enough to say anything" to "what do you mean, 'clean myself up'? Summon someone whose station in life is low enough that they can scrub my butt and wash my drawers!".

That, my friend, is range.

Try watching him in "Labyrinth" (2012). He is excellent as a good warrior and person who fights to defend an oppressed group.

reply

I thought he was excellent in this but wondered if he did any other roles myself. I hope to catch the film you recommend.

reply

That's more him being typecast than not having range.

Tom Felton may need another scripts?
