Discrepencies in Hanna Click's Story

She tells Felix that she was married to a gambler and broke up with him after they got into a fight. But she was actually married to Eugine who actually was a very nice and a normal guy.

My question: why did she lie about this? What else was a lie in her story? Are the tennis player and her magician husband really a part of her life or is she making them up too after reading about the death in news?
