Can anyone explain that weird ending with Junior dancing with a Gator..?

by rannoco28: I can't figure out how the dancing alligator scene at the conclusion figured into it. When Pierce clicked on the e-mail at the end, and brought up that scene, it must have been an e-mail from Junior. It did make it look as though the entire thing was all just staged, from beginning to end, for the benefit of Pierce's career. But the police involvement would render that impossible. Maybe the whole thing was just a joke, and we were all being played ! Still, a pretty decent movie.
