Why do they still let these guys make movies?

We like GOOD comedies. Friedberg/Seltzer do not make good comedies (Scary Movie and Spy Hard aside).

It should be noted that they didn't direct "Spy Hard" and there were four other writers who worked on "Scary Movie" which they didn't direct either. (In fact, one review of "Epic Movie" suggests what they did write for "Scary Movie" ended up on the cutting room floor.) So, maybe it's the combination of them writing and directing that leaves such a bad taste in people's mouths.
