Great concept with terrible kid actors

I wanted so badly to like this, but the kids who are the main actors just weren't up to par with their veteran actors. This made for a very lopsided movie. The only kid actor who held their own was the sister.

The story felt sow in the beginning and rushed at the ending. It felt like it wanted to be The Karate Kid plays ping pong, yet it wasn't dynamic enough.
