Damned if you do, damned if you don't

If you talk to the police, they can use it against you. Even though you have a right to remain silent, if you don't talk to police, Kelly's attitude is that this indicates guilt. Sort of like being accused of witchcraft.

I think it would be ill advised to talk to "crime solvers" that are making a TV program. They have no legal authority and will use the interview for the purposes of making the TV program interesting or to create drama with whatever edits they decide on. They will use the persons interviewed without the benefit of any protection under the law to suit their "script".

Both the innocent and the guilty would really have to ask themselves if they really want to be used in this fashion for a TV entertainment program when there is no legal basis for compelling them to participate.

In this case though, how're they going to use 'he said he knew how to get rid of a body and nobody would know it' against the second party it was told to, and not the person who made that statement?

reply

Production must obtain approval of anyone on film.
That's why some ppl are blurred out or not on camera...

If you're innocent, why wouldn't you give info?

Only the guilty have something to hide & ask for an attorney.

reply

Tell that to the wrongly convicted. There are mistakes made and that is why it is good for most to have an attorney.
