shareInteresting that they would renew for season 5 when season 4 hasn't aired. The show runners must have sold TNT on something good.
shareSeason 4 and 5 will be 10 episodes instead of 13, and they're going to film back to back. So they had to decide on it before they start filming. Also helps reduce costs to film them together. So they cut episodes and costs by making the decision early.
shareWhen they decided to cancel Haven they gave it a 5th and 6th season to wrap things up, but it really was 5a and 5 b. Giving it 26 episodes

I never said it was horrible, all I was saying is that is what they did with Haven. I like/liked both shows, but both gave 2 additional seasons in advance. All I was doing was giving a statement of fact. This does not mean TLS will be cancelled. There have been several shows who were given approval of future seasons. Some have succeeded, some have not. I'm sure shows like Greys Anatomy and NCIS have been given approval of future seasons, that does not mean something will happen in the future.
