Eye opening

I've always assumed that actors like this who aren't quite stars, but are familiar to most movie or tv watchers, were financially set. Not millionaires, of course, but not living paycheck to paycheck.

And it's sad to hear that in the age of multi-million dollar movie budgets, they're being low-balled.

I don't know if I feel sorry for their plight. I agree that it's surprising that their pay is sharply down while ticket prices have skyrocketed, but my humble opinion is that many actors had been grossly overpaid in the past and are only beginning to face the reality that everyone else has had to deal with. We (the workers) have experienced pay cuts, down-sizing, lay-offs, etc.

Having said that, I enjoyed their stories very much.

I find it's always sad when anybody can't do what they love with their life without resorting to welfare checks or going into debt.

I really wish this world wasn't controlled by the wealthiest to enslave everyone else. I think we all have a right to food, shelter, medical care, and some basic life pleasures.

And if we all had those simple basics, that we could focus on really making the world better instead of surviving.

True, and as someone in it said, when the single paycheck comes once every few months, it can be pretty tough. And the same goes for other arts as well, struggling musicians are especially aware of the situation when gigs either dry up or aren't there in the first place DESPITE the talent. At least these guys had agents to get them auditions.

Still, I can't really feel too bad for guys, when they complain about getting $3000 a week - a basic monthly salary, basically. Ok, it's not the tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands (let alone millions...) that some pull from a few weeks' or month's work, but still.

And in the end, most of these guys seemed to be working in pretty high profile Hollywood productions, especially Wade Williams.

It would be a good film to recommend to any aspiring actor. They should know what they are letting themselves in for.

Most of these guys could consider themselves real employed actors but still aren't on easy street or even living nearby. Still, they didn't seem unhappy with their career choices.
