Did they run out of money?

The editing looked shoddy. It looked like they didn't have enough covering shots for cutaways and so ended up using shots that didn't match the dialogue. Similarly with the use of footage photos of Jimi's family and family home, it seemed like they weren't able to get the shots they wanted.
