Mario & female D.A. lady sleeping together, will it EVER be addressed?

what was the point of showing them hooking up (in the bathroom(?)) in the first ep at his B-day party if the conflict of interest part of it will never be addressed now that Mario's trial has started? if they don't ever address it, it's an example of some of the worst writing ever for a show.

Maybe he's going to bring it up on the witness stand when he testifies. The way he said he wants his day in court makes me think that might be the reason he hasn't said anything.

reply

That's what I think...he so badly wants to humiliate her in court.

I mentioned this on another thread. I didn't know if I had missed something because I couldn't understand how they have just ignored this issue. The asst DA seems pretty sure he isn't going to say anything because she could get in serious trouble for taking this case on even though they had a relationship and she was at the party. All he has to do is bring it up and she is so done and so is the case. Maybe he was protecting his wife but wife knew he was messing around and now that he has lost his career and money odds are she is out of there anyway. I would love to see the asst DA lady taken down a notch. Very unlike able. This is all for her career not the dead lady.

But that girl doesn't seem scared of anything at all, didn't seem to care about the outcome of their trashy stuff in the bathroom. Is she even aware of the repercussions of their misdeeds? How could she not be?

I have to think that his wife is going to have a role in their someplace. She knows a lot of stuff, and if pushed, she could do some harm.

It seems to me Siletti can get her dismissed from the case pretty easily on conflict of interest, once he reveals the true nature of their relationship history. I suspect he's planning exactly that, and going for a mistrial.

He probably wants do it on the stand to make it as sensational as possible, and make the D.A's office look bad for his retrial. He probably thinks that'll get him an easier deal the 2nd time around.

Are we all forgetting he bringing up the affair will not only ruin his family but his career. The D. A. Lady is just not this stupid. I would bet she and her current boss has a deal. Ruin Mario by admitting he blackmailed her into an affair and I will represent you, saving her and burying Mario. He won't know what hit him.

SPOILER

If you've watched it, you know he got his wife to testify about the affair. What I don't understand is how he got the picture on his phone of her giving him oral sex.

Seems to be backfiring on him though. Other than the husband it seems like this trial was heading for reasonable doubt. My gosh the eye witness came in stoned ! If he had brought this up before the trial they could have made headlines about the asst DA having a personal vendetta against him and used it as a bargaining chip. On another note, I couldn't believe how shocked and offended the asst DA looked. She did wrong ! No way should she be involved in this case.

I wouldn't be surprised if a "who killed Mario Siletti" is the season three cliffhanger. He is going to pay for this one way or another and for now he has got his freedom to enjoy, wife has come back, and will take a shot at regaining his career. Melissa Danson has the motive to shoot him, so does the husband of the wife who Mario ran down, but watch it will be his son, Michael, who snaps and kills him.

But I'd hate to lose Currie!

Yeah, the ADA clearly should've recused herself from this case right from the start.

I'm just surprised the judge didn't recommend she be disbarred, or at least suspended from the bar, especially once Mario proved she was lying to his face about it when he produced his proof.

She made the DA's office and that judge both look pretty stupid, which was obviously always Mario's intention. You could see his plan coming from a mile away. But I'm not sure it'll at all work out in Mario's favor, though, especially having lost his lawyer now.

reply

Keep in mind that this is being tried by the California attorney general, not the DA: Mario being the DA would mean a conflict of interest. But yes, I think getting Danson disbarred is reasonable.

reply

jabell, he no doubt took the photo while she was "busy" (giving him oral sex) and completely unaware he was taking said photo.

that GOTCHA! moment in last night's ep was awesome! i loved the smirk on Siletti's wife's face immediately after she revealed the info.
