RATERS: Why so low?

I'm only halfway through the first episode but it seems good so far. Establishing lots of character, subtle suggestions that all is not right in each of their lives.

You beat me to it, thats what i was going to say lol I thought the first episode was complete and utter *beep* It's been done before and with a lot more skill. I wont be bothering with anymore episodes. It'll probably turn out that they're all ghosts, stuck in an infinite loop.

It can be arty at times but I like it. It was based on the idea while watching Crimewatch, police put out one image and many people would phone in with many different names. In other words, there are suspects all over the place. What makes them think they know people who could commit a crime. The suspect thing isn't meant to be subtle.

I kinda like it too, reminds me vaguely of twin peaks

I feel like a Twin Peaks vibe is what it was going for.
A girl is murdered, and there's a girl who looks exactly like her. Everyone in the town is really weird. Everyone is doing their own things all influencing eachother without realising. Things like that.
It just doesn't have the magic that encapsulated Twin Peaks.
I really want to like Mayday, and the kookiness keeps me watching each new episode. The show really isn't great though, watchable, but nothing special.
In my opinion anyway.

If it tried to emulate Twin Peaks, then it missed by a country mile.

I've only seen the first episode, but I must say, those 'subtle' suggestions were more like I'd expect to see in an old episode of Eastenders, when we're just about to find out who made Michelle Fowler pregnent. It cheapened it for me slightly. Generally quite watchable though.

(It was Dirty Den, by the way)

I thought it was brilliant. I thought it was also beautifully shot and very suspenseful, with a great cast. I particularly liked Aided Gillen and Lesley Manville.

gonna rate it 1 aswell, because it has the most stupid ending to a ok show i have ever seen.

I admit that the ending was a great disappointment. I felt let down. Still a great cast though, who did well.

great show. great acting. (I know I abit over the top) but need to balance out the negative :)

the wife of the policeman (Koko?) acting is the best there is. love the show.

I thought this was really good, and quite compelling, right up until the last episode. The conclusion was such a huge letdown it made me a bit angry for having let myself be lured there. Overall, a huge waste of a great cast, and slightly insulting to my intelligence.
